Who Supports the SPV Fund?

The Annual Gift Fund is made up of annual gifts from alumni, parents—both current and past—SPV School Board Members, faculty, staff and friends of St. Pius V Catholic School. All gifts to the Fund are unrestricted and support the general operating budget.

Why is the SPV Fund Neccessary?

Without it, the School would not be able to keep its doors open for the entire year. Tuition does not cover the full cost of educating a student at St. Pius V. This year, the cost of educating one student at SPV is nearly $6, 000, while the cost of tuition is $4,000. In order to fulfill our commitment to diversity, the School strives to keep tuition as reasonable as possible. The nearly $2,000 difference must come from sources other than tuition. And so, SPV relies on the Annual Gift Fund to supply the difference. The most significant contribution any of us can make to St. Pius V Catholic School is a gift to our Annual Gift Fund.

Why Should I Give?

• Every dollar you contribute to our Annual Gift Fund benefits each student who walks through the doors of St. Pius V Catholic School. The Fund serves as a silent scholarship for every student, keeping tuition lower than the actual cost of a St. Pius V Catholic School education and allowing more families to send their children to a Catholic preparatory school.
• No gift is greater than a child’s education, a gift for life.
• Your gift is tax deductible.
• You will be recognized in the Annual List of Donors, our newsletter and on the our Web site.
• Corporations and foundations—other sources of support for the School—look to the total percentage of participation in giving before choosing which proposals to fund.

How are the Funds Utilized?

The 2008-09 Annual Gift Fund provided for these improvements to St. Pius V Catholic School:

• Upgrades of the School’s technology and communication systems
• Enhanced academic programming
• Maintenance of our grounds and facilities

• Your gift may be matched by a gift from your employer, which can double or triple your gift to the School and count toward your contribution. More than 500 companies match their employees’ gifts. Please contact your Human Resources Department for the proper form.
  

St. Pius V Catholic School Thanks you in advance for your donation you will receive a thank you letter along with your receipt for your donation from the school office you can use your receipt for tax purposes. If you would prefer to drop off your donation in person the business office is open from 8am to 3:30pm Monday - Friday.
Your donation will help the students purchase computer, books, and other resources needed to help our students today and prepare them for the world tomorrow.
